7. Pueblo, Colorado
Are you looking for a place where the cost of living is 9% lower than the state average and 4% lower than the national average? Then look no further, because Pueblo, Colorado, might be the ideal small town for you!
Tucked at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Pueblo has tons of opportunities for hiking, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. You’ll find that the cost of living here is quite reasonable, making it easy to manage housing and healthcare expenses. Just perfect, don’t you think?
You can stroll through the historic downtown area, check out local museums, and join in on fun community events, all while soaking in those gorgeous mountain views! With a friendly vibe, low crime rate, and plenty of recreational activities, Pueblo is a wonderful place to embrace retirement and enjoy life to the fullest. If I get bored with Apex, this is the small town I would consider moving to!

Could be the right towns , but the one I would consider if I was seriously thinking about moving would be in North Carolina. But I am not in the market in relocated or even moving.
