5. Spokane, Washington
Spokane, Washington, is a wonderful place for retirees looking for an affordable lifestyle without missing out on nature and all the fun amenities! Located in the beautiful Inland Northwest, Spokane is famous for its lovely parks, sparkling lakes, and easy access to outdoor adventures like hiking, skiing, and fishing.
The cost of living here is much lower than in nearby Seattle (and even 14% lower than the state average, as experts say), with plenty of affordable housing options and lower property taxes to help you save that much-needed cash.
Besides that, Spokane has a lively downtown area, great healthcare options, and a warm, welcoming community. Move to this charming small town and enjoy the best of both urban and outdoor life, all while keeping costs down! Isn’t that the dream?
