2. Cedar City, Utah
Cedar City, Utah is another charming small town you can’t go wrong with, especially if you enjoy a slower pace of life and outdoor adventure. Known as the “Gateway to the National Parks,” this place is surrounded by some of the most stunning parks, including Zion and Bryce Canyon.
The low cost of living, tight-knit community, and the plethora of recreational activities available only add to the package. You can enjoy biking, hiking, scenic drives, as well as a multitude of cultural events, and the local theater scene. What can I say? This small town knows how to keep its people healthy, thriving, and entertained.
But since retirement comes with potentially lower incomes, you’ll be happy to hear that Cedar City is one of the most affordable towns in Utah. According to experts, the rent, mortgage, and energy bills are lower than the national average, so that’s always great.
