Work-from-home job: Claims adjuster
Claims adjusters work from the comfort of their homes for insurance companies to investigate insurance claims in their region. They review the relevant property and determine if the policyholder is qualified for reimbursement.
Claims adjusters record statements, read police reports, take photos or videos, and analyze coverage plans for each claim. Some even use drones to snap images of damaged roofs or other hard-to-reach spots.
As a claims adjuster, you’ll be spending some time in the field collecting evidence related to a claim and some of your time in your home office preparing reports and performing research. You’ll file statements for every claim digitally.
