Work-from-home job: Virtual bookkeeper
Virtual bookkeepers use online bookkeeping software to help organize their clients’ records. Their primary duties are to sort clients’ transactions into categories and ensure their account balances match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
Virtual bookkeepers gain remote access to company documents, produce transaction reports, organize them securely and logically, and resolve any discrepancies.
Even though virtual bookkeepers don’t need a traditional degree, some employers require a bookkeeping certificate to qualify for a job like this. Administrative and billing experience can easily transition to a virtual bookkeeping role.

I am retired from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department after 29 1/2 years. Along with many other assignments, I worked the City of Camarillo traffic unit investigating traffic accidents. I believe working as a claims adjuster would be an interesting and a rewarding job. I am interested in working in this field full or part time. I would only be interested in working in the area of Ventura County, Ca.
