New York City, New York

I think it’s safe to say that at some point, we’ve all been in a New York state of mind. However, after many rounds of reconsideration, would you still think that New York is the ideal place to retire to?

The Big Apple is definitely the definition of excitement and thrill, but this doesn’t mean that it’s a senior-friendly metropolis. For some of us, it’s not even an adult-friendly place, either.

First and foremost, New York City is by far one of the most expensive cities in America. For example, the rent for a two-bedroom apartment costs somewhere around $2,500 per month.

Not to mention how high the taxes are and how the city is constantly crowded. As NYC scores quite high in walkability, the unstable weather, such as the blizzards and the heat waves, generally cancels out any of those benefits, which makes it the worst place to live in.

  1. The only thing in this article thats true about Memphis is that it is a dangerous place. There are some outstanding hospitals in Memphis. Storms in Memphis are no worse than almost any southern city. Whoever wrote this article doesn’t like Memphis
