It used to be the NC mountains but they’ve been decimated. There are some nice towns 15-20 miles from Charlotte but don’t live in Charlotte.. only visit.

My daughter wants to back to Michigan where she was born but I advised her against it because I already know what’s up there. I moved to South Carolina where There so many companies down here nowadays. Like Boeing, BMW, Tesla, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Frito Lay, and many more due to no unions and lower wages for workers.
