Thailand supports between 6,800 and 8,600 Social Security recipients seeking Southeast Asian living. Applicants for the Non-Immigrant O or O-A Retirement Visa must be at least 50 years old. Financial requirements call for either 800,000 Thai Baht (~$23,000) deposited in a Thai bank account or proof of a monthly foreign pension of at least 65,000 Thai Baht (~$1,870). Thailand features internationally accredited private hospitals providing world-class medical treatments at modest costs.
